After ridiculous amounts of faffing, I have managed to get a fully rendered version of my rap and clap working with fully synced sound. Yayy!

Rap and Clap: Final!
I've finally completed my rap and clap. I've had to upload it as a playblast for now because I'm having issues syncing the sound. Hopefully I will be able to fix this.
Rap and Clap: Blocking
Rap and Clap: Dance Storyboard
Again, I've just uploaded a quick storyboard that probably only I understand, to try and get across what I want from this animation.

Clap and Rap: Lip Syncing
I have uploaded a playblast showing the mouth movement to the song and am now ready to get working on the actual dance!
Clap and Rap: Reference
So I came across this YouTube video of Kiss by Prince where someone has managed to avoid copyright restrictions by sticking random clips of people dancing/singing to the song in the middle of the official video. Not a great video, but good for ideas and reference.
Lip Sync Finished
I've added a few more hand movements and smoothed some things out with my lip sync task, and it's finally finished! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out .
Lip Sync: First test.
The main idea is now complete and I've rendered it off to upload. There are still a few tweaks to be done however.
For one I need to change the background as you cannot see the movement of the body very well, but I also need to work on the follow through in the animation and animate the shoulders and hands a little more.
Lip Sync: Quick Storyboard Idea
I've laid out my ideas for my Lip Sync task as a rough storyboard. Whether the storyboard will make sense to anyone but me I don't know, but I thought I would upload it anyway!
The idea is to use the 'Blimey, Sorry!' sound clip. The animation is of a guy, who having got his Christmas spirit on, thought he'd give entering a house down a chimney a go. He is now explaining himself to fire brigade, who's view will be seen through the camera.

Personality Walk
My personality walk is done! It has changed quite a lot since the playblast, I moved the waist further over the legs to make it look more centred, and removed the 'looking at watch' pose as I felt it didn't really fit, and would of required a longer animation to work without distorting the movement of the hand coming down. I've also changed the way the arm swings to look a little more natural and have a clearer arc.

Personality Walk - Quick Timing Playblast
Just though I would upload a quick playblast showing the timing of my personality walk. I still need to ball the feet, move the shoulders and head, then add a little hand movement. but other than that I just need to put a few more inbetweens.

Personality Walk Reference
In preparation for animating my next walk I have recorded some reference material in the green screen studio.
The walk is based around the idea that the character has just lost his job and is returning home to his wife. He is not happy and is moving slowly to try and put off breaking the news.
I quite like the rubbing of the back of his head with his hand, and a really like the swinging of the arms in the second piece of reference, it adds a bit of a 'tantrum' feel to it! In general I will be trying to make the character very slumped over, with a low power centre.
